Buy NowThe September 4, 1935 issue of Motion Picture Daily carried an ad for "The Dark Angel" - the story of three friends who come of age during World War I in England.
Instead of typography that represented those early war years, the title of the film was hand drawn in a tall, condensed Art Deco style comprised of three parallel lines. In most of the characters these parallel lines intersect and cross, for a unique take on multi-line lettering.
This has been recreated digitally as Deco Pen Lines JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.
