Loggerhead

View Purchase OptionsTo be at loggerheads means to be in conflict. I have always wondered where that expression came from, so I looked it up. There are a few explanations, but the one most people agree on is that it comes from the insult ‘loggerhead’ - meaning a thick headed person. A logger was a block of wood, which was tied to a horse’s leg to prevent it from wandering off.
There is also a Loggerhead turtle, which is named thus for its big head. Now you’re in the know!
Loggerhead font is not stupid, thick headed nor made from wood. It is a really nice, inky kind of font. Use it for your packaging, your books, your posters - well, just anywhere you’d like to add some handmade charm. Comes with a set of alternates and some cool ligatures to boot!
