Bamboo

Even the original founder, Barnhart Bros. & Spindler, thought this was a freaky font, and indeed they called it ?Freak? when they introduced it in 1889.

It was reintroduced in 1925 under the somewhat more elegant name of ?Bamboo,? and is one of the prizes that the collectors of antique metal types seek.
