After graduating with a degree in computer graphics, Denise Bayers entered the font industry in 2002 mainly assisting other font designers with assembling and selling their fonts. Denise launched Fat Daddy Fonts in 2012 to offer high quality sign painter inspired display typefaces, and recently started Letterhead Magazine, an online venue which focuses on teaching and inspiring designers.

Though she’s fascinated with many genres of lettering, her inspiration comes primarily from vintage advertisements, posters and stock certificates with a focus on taking old letter styles and reviving them so modern designers can use for them in the present-day.
