Palitura

Palitura is a display typeface designed to translate Cyrillic flavor into the Latin script. It is a modern interpretation of the early Cyrillic writing (Bulgarian school).

Palitura means lacquered book cover in Old Ukrainian. The design of letter shapes is inspired by Early Cyrillic handwritten letters and Ukrainian patterns that are conveyed through the sharpness of form, vertical strokes that are narrower at the bottom, stylized oblique hooks at the top, and triangular accents.
