Mocha Mattari

Mocha Mattari is a distressed display font based on the widely popular Bebas Neue, originally released as a free font in 2010.

Bebas Neue has gained immense popularity, especially as a web font, and Mocha Mattari builds on that legacy with a handcrafted, worn aesthetic.

Created by intentionally damaging and manually tweaking the original design, Mocha Mattari offers a gritty, tactile feel perfect for bold and textured visuals.

While it does not include lowercase letters, it features a set of alternative uppercase glyphs.
Additionally, special character combinations such as “g, m, oz, fl, lb”—used for units like gram, milli, ounce, fluid, and pound—are accessible via OpenType dlig (discretionary ligatures) or salt (stylistic alternates) features.
