Buy NowBenjiro is a Japanese name for boys. It means ‘peaceful’ or ‘enjoy peace’, which is something we all really need right now. I settled on a Japanese name, as this font was made with ink and a broken bamboo satay skewer. A few years ago, I made my first font with a broken satay skewer and called it Buntaro, which is also a Japanese boys name, so I thought I’d stick to that tradition.
Benjiro is a rough, all caps brush font. I used really cheap supermarket skewers, because they break in all the wrong places, making it a joy to work with, as you never know what you’ll end up with!
Benjiro comes with extensive language support and a nice set of alternates for the lower case glyphs.
