Ammer Handwriting

Award-winning Austrian cartoonist Wolfgang Ammer lent his handwriting to this font, which was produced and published by Schriftlabor. Rich in contextual alternates, Ammer Handwriting contains about 1800 glyphs: each character has multiple alternates, and an automatic substitution feature makes sure the same variant does not appear twice in a line. As a special gimmick, the font contains a Tic Tac Toe game: to activate it, type a hashtag (#) and turn on stylistic set 20 ‘Tic Tac Toe’. Then use digits 1 through 9 for setting the naughts and crosses on their places. Wolfgang already uses the font in his daily routine: it facilitates corrections and translations of his cartoons for international newspapers.
