Common Thread Regular

COMMON THREAD is a cursive font that made to look like it’s stitched. Inspired by a small vintage example, I strove to make something like the cursive penmanship I was taught in school, all the while maintaining the look of a single stitched line. Instead of compromising the letterforms so that one glyph fits all combinations, I’ve included lots of alternate letterforms. In apps that support the opentype features stylistic alternates and discretionary ligatures, the substitutions are made automatically to best imitate something handmade.

COMMON THREAD adds a gentle, hand-crafted, domestic or scholastic look.
