Headline One was developed from 1920s editions of the Toronto Star newspaper in the archives of a Hollywood prop rental house. Headline Two was developed from 1930s editions of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner from the same archive. Both feature robust international character sets.
Headline Two has a complete alternate glyph set accessible through the OpenType feature of contextual alternates that will prevent two identical letters from being set next to each other most of the time, to help preserve the illusion of vintage type. Both fonts also feature some little doodads for use in re-creating the look of vintage newspapers.
