Captain Howdy was inspired by the font often seen on classic Ouija boards, known as a woodtype, "circus," or "Western" font. Cleanly redrawn using my 70s-vintage wooden Ouija board as a model. I never cared much for playing with it, I just liked the way it looks! Captain Howdy is what Regan, the possessed girl in The Exorcist, calls the spirit who contacts her through her Ouija board. And now there's my second Ouija-inspired font, Sideshow!
