Based on the handwriting of graphic designer Patricia Thompson. Named after a misunderstanding: Pat was working with the editor of a children’s book review when she noticed that one of the books used Felt Tip Roman. She pointed this out to the editor who replied, “Did you say Felt Tip Woman? That’s a strange name for a typeface.”
